COME ONE, COME ALL was the call and come they did. An estimated 450-500 community members joined the members of White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company for its open house. The windy, rainy night before washed away the clouds and produced a beautiful day for the gathering.
WMVFC and many other public safety agencies provided health information and screenings, hands on with equipment, police dog, and several rescue demonstrations; Our communities had an opportunity to see how WE serve and protect YOU.
There was lots of free fun for children in the Safety House Trailer, talking with SPARKY the fire prevention dog, and the chance to squirt out the 'flames' game. Some lucky people were able to win a free smoke detector.
The highlights of the day, for the members, were the smiles on children. Many people enjoyed the demonstrations but, the biggest show was the landing and take offs of the Maryland State Police MedEvac heliocopter, TROOPER ONE.
